Kyllo Airplane Hangar: Private Hangar Builder, Larimore ND

The Kyllo airplane hangar in Larimore, ND is a two-story metal building we designed to function as both a working aircraft hangar and a personal workshop. As an airplane hangar builder serving North Dakota, we used brown and green siding with small rectangular windows to give the structure a grounded, intentional look. Inside the main bay, a vintage yellow and white airplane sits next to a smaller blue and yellow aircraft, with a staircase leading up to a mezzanine loft for additional workspace and storage. We finished the interior with aviation-themed details, including signs, a propeller, a clock, and built-in space for tools and equipment. It is a private hangar that doubles as a personal retreat for the owner.
